For more than 50 years, Apple River TV & Appliance has been a familiar name in Amery. Now, longtime employee and Amery native Max Meyers and his wife, Lana, are carrying that legacy forward as the business’s newest owners.

For Max, the connection goes back to high school, when he worked at Apple River TV & Appliance alongside his best friend. After military service and returning to Wisconsin, Max eventually found his way back to the store—and was later presented with the opportunity to purchase the business.

When Max and Lana began exploring financing for the purchase and inventory, they were eventually referred to Pillar Bank.

“It felt more personalized,” Lana said. “Tony Meyers has been great to work with. The customer service is very good—they all congratulated us when the paperwork was signed.”

Commercial Banker Tony Meyers helped the couple navigate their business financing, while Lisa Lyon assisted with treasury management services, including setting up ACH payments.

Today, Max manages the business while Lana continues her career at a local eye clinic. Together, they’re beginning a new chapter for a business that has served thousands of customers throughout Amery and the surrounding area.
