While many enjoyed a long holiday weekend, the Pillar Bank team spent President’s Day doing what we do best — investing in our people, strengthening our knowledge, and giving back to the communities we serve.
The day kicked off with Senior Management presentations designed to help every team member better support our customers and understand the full picture of the bank.
- Operations walked through the ins and outs of the Pillar Bank mobile app — empowering staff to confidently guide customers through its features and benefits.
- Sales shared outreach efforts and how tellers and retail staff are playing an increasingly important role in building relationships and driving growth.
- Treasury Management highlighted our suite of business tools and solutions that help customers operate more efficiently.
- Marketing provided updates on new products focused on attracting younger generations, along with insights from our Next Gen Council.
- Leadership wrapped up the morning with financial updates and strategic goals from our CFO and CEO — reinforcing where we’re headed and how each team member contributes to our success.
Next, we celebrated the hard work of our Q1 Tiger Teams (Claw and Order, Earn Your Stripes, and Smooth Operators) focused on improving SOPs, driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and streamlining operations. In true Pillar Bank fashion, the graduation ceremony included a surprise appearance from our CEO…dressed head-to-toe in a tiger costume … a moment that brought plenty of laughs and perfectly captured our fun, engaging culture. - Pillar Bank team members present the Baldwin Food Shelf with birthday cake donations.
- Clear Lake staffers present birthday cake packages to the local food bank.
Giving back was also a big part of the day. Together, the team assembled 175 birthday cake packages which we donated to local food shelves — helping families celebrate special moments that might otherwise be missed. (See photos below of staff delivering to local food shelves.)
We wrapped things up with team-building games that let everyone learn a little more about each other — from who’s traveled to Europe six times and visited 12 countries, to who loves antiquing on their days off, to the fun fact that one of our teammates once showed a bull at the Wisconsin State Fair at just two years old!
Days like this remind us that Pillar Bank is more than a workplace — it’s a team built on learning, collaboration, service, and a whole lot of heart. We’re proud to invest in our people and our communities as we continue growing together.
