June 19 is a federal holiday honoring Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a powerful reminder of freedom, equity, and progress. While our branches will be closed in observance of the holiday, we’ll be using this time together to grow, reflect, and strengthen our culture as a team.

Learning Across Generations

We’ll begin our day with a guest speaker who will guide us through a thoughtful session on understanding generational differences in the workplace. From Baby Boomers to Gen Z, every generation brings unique perspectives, values, and communication styles. This session will help us better collaborate, serve our customers with empathy, and continue building a workplace that values diversity in all its forms. We’ll share more on this topic next month, including how we’ve formed a Next Gen Council committee.

Celebrating Our Culture

Following the morning session, we’ll come together for our Annual Culture Awards, where we recognize the colleagues who exemplify our values each day. These awards are more than just recognition—they’re a celebration of the spirit, service, and integrity that make our bank a truly special place to work.

Team Building and Connection

We’ll round out the day with team-building activities designed to deepen relationships and strengthen the collaboration that drives our success. Whether through challenges, games, or shared conversations, we’ll focus on what it means to work together with purpose.

As we reflect on the meaning of Juneteenth and the importance of inclusion, this day serves as both a pause and a purpose—a chance to invest in ourselves, in each other, and in the community we proudly serve.
